(More customer reviews)This book is wonderful.It contains all the notes and music needed to perform the songs of a great group still on the rise.With having vocal, guitar and piano, anyone along with myself can be able to perform the songs easily, and sound like a professional.Yes, it may seem that a five startrating is a bit over-the-top, but as the guidelines go for songbooks, thisone is made to sit at the top of the pile.Unfortunately, I have not foundany other songbooks for the group of No Doubt, but I'm sure, in due time,there will be more as this group takes it's place on the rock world.Thisis a good book for anyone into music.It gives wonderful pratice also toanyone who is learning how to sing or play an instrument.To sum it up, Isuggest anyone get this book, it's definately worth the paper it's printedon.

The book tell you how to tune each string, (each song has a capo on fret 2), play with tabs or with actual note reading, correct lyrics, and the notes for the vocals. This was a great buy and I plan on buying other tablature books with the same type of logo as sen on the top left.

(More customer reviews)I bought this hoping to get some more great tips and theory that Friedland's first book contained, and that helped me develop walking lines when i was first learning. Unfortunately, I found that the content here was not as rich, not as based in theory, and kind of obvious if you listen to recordings. Also, I was frustrated that he spent many pages at the beginning going through basic music theory and how to set your metronome on 2 and 4, something covered extensively in the first book. I felt like this book was trying to be too much of a stand-alone intro when it really should have omitted redundant info and focused on being the second book in a series. It's still well written and has good info, it's just not as intensely packed with great theory and info as the first book is.

(More customer reviews)There are quite a few errors in the book. I got better results from guitar pro tabs off the internet for Hysteria for example. Some of the shapes that is used makes me wonder how long the author has played the guitar. Also, some triads were mistaken for power chords. The chord progressions are perfect, but the voicings and rhythm seems off on occasion. I was disappointed at this product. The author and publisher for Black Holes & Revelations tab book did a much better job.

That having been said, if you play the songs transcribed as is, it will sound very similar the originals. However, they are not the way Matt Bellamy plays them in his studio versions. If you are looking for exact transcription of his playing style, you will be disappointed. For costing this much, this book could have done a whole lot better.

(More customer reviews)This music book serves its purpose on a very BASIC level.The chord progressions for most Creedence songs are pretty simple.Therefore, it is hard not to get it right even by accident.Several of the songs are written in the wrong key but a good musician should be able to transpose.Most of the instrumental passages are missing(Gloomy, Suzie Q, Walk On The Water,Ramble Tamble, I Heard It Through The Grapevine).Long As I Can See The Light seems to be a little off with the piano notes.Most of the other piano music is pretty on the money.Cotton Fields is butchered on many levels.The guys only sing the first verse. If there is a book with tabilature out there and guitar solos written out, I would pass on this edition.However, beginners can certainly use this as it is kept very simple.
