(More customer reviews)I used the older version of this book when I was a child and it was excellent.Easy to read and understand.Perfect for learning to play the piano if you want to go at your own pace.I had a private instructor as well but the book was the key to my lessons. I have almost the entire collection but they are a bit out-dated so I plan to buy the new ones soon for my own review, and also so I can teach my kids to play when they are old enough. I loved the John W. Schaum series.Note: These books aren't really theory based so if you intend to teach yourself, you'll also need a book to really teach you the basics (Tip: I used the AB Guide to music theory by Eric Taylor, it's alittle difficult to find now though), once you master the theory, you'll be on your way to playing tons of songs. Fun fun fun!!!

(More customer reviews)This is a two CD set each CD is 30 minutes long.The second CD is for the "music discovery book", I love this CD, it is just perfect for group music classes and it is a fun CD for kids to just listen to.There are 25 songs: a hello song (mentions mozart mouse and beethoven bear), a goodbye song (could be used for any program), 8 rhythm instrument songs, 5 movement/music appreciation songs, and 8 listening/ear training songs.

The first CD is essentially a "book on CD" of the "music lesson" book and I don't see why you would ever use it because a teacher could read the story herself much more entertainingly.

(More customer reviews)This "Lesson Assignment Book" is a great way to stay organized with your child's piano lessons. It can be used with Levels 1 -4 of the "Music for Little Mozarts" series.

There are 32 lesson "Assignment" pages that span two pages each (eight months of weekly lessons!). It tracks the lesson number, day, date and time (this is a great feature for parents who need to keep track of when to pay the teacher next!), and when the next lesson is. There is a homework section that uses the Lesson Book, Music Workbook, Discovery Book and Other (great for Recital Book). There is a "New" and "Review" column for each lesson book used. Next is a days of the week tracker for recording practice time in minutes. For teachers, there is space for evaulating that day's lesson and comments. Parents are also given comment space. At the end, there is work space for the child with a printed keyboard and music notation lines.

The end of book has space for "My Favorite Pieces" and "Music I Have Performed."

This is an inexpensive way to stay organized while your child learns piano. We have enjoyed it thoroughly!
