(More customer reviews)As both a violinist and a viola performance major I've been through several aluminum wire stands and been generally dissatisfied. this stand is lightweight, tall enough for a 6' tall violist to use comfortably and perfect at half height for orchestra rehearsals and gigs. I'd recommend it over a Manhasset any day based solely on weight and price.
Only minor con is that the rubber feet get torn up easily when opening/collapsing the stand due to friction. I compensate for this by opening the legs first and then extending the stand, and by collapsing the stand before collapsing the feet.
Buy one, you won't regret it :)
