Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The emphasis on all exercises is the correct placement of the fingers of the left hand, and ensuring that the fingers are held down as long as possible. This is in preparation for Kreutzer/Rode.Each exercise addresses a particular left hand pattern/technique.When a pattern is repeated throughout a piece, it is done in a very musical way that makes it very not-boring, and makes each exercise a nice addition to repertoire. The exercises are similar in difficulty and flavor to Kayser.I am a mandolin player, and I like these exercises because they are challenging, melodic and sound great with a pick in place of a bow.
