This stand is easy to set up and very light.It is sturdy enough to hold a binder of music. While setting up the stand for my second use, the bottom of stand came off the track.While I was able to get it back on track, not the greatest construction that would allow the bottom to come off. On the plus side, the part that holds the music is sturdy as is the part that allows you to vary the angle of the music holder.
The bottom line is that the stand is ok, its inexpensive and probably as good as you are going to get in the inexpensive practice stand category.
