Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Broadway Musicals Show by Show has long had a reputation as a comprehensive reference book on Broadway. It has never been simply a listing of each and every show that opened each year on Broadway, but rather, as explained in the Preface, included are those shows that Stanley Green, and later Kay Green, felt were memorable and should be mentioned.
"Broadway Musicals Show by Show is perhaps a misleading title as by no means every Broadway show is to be found between the covers; merely an annual selection of those Stanley thought, to use his own words, were "memorable" in each year. To have produced a fully comprehensive study of the subject would have resulted in a work whose very size would have rendered it indigestible to the average reader. As it is Stanley has distilled each year to its essence and produced a readable and informative work that fits neatly into anyone's book shelves."
From the Preface by Ian MacBey
