This method book explains the exercises just enough to be pertinent to your developement as a new guitar player. It does not go into meaningless explanations that would not mean much for someone who is just starting. It paces the student as he learns the techiques. The book is prepared in a way that you do not need to imcorporate any other method books. This book, along with Solo guitar playing book two, Carcassi guitar method from Carl Fisher and Segovia's Scale patterns you would be all set for all your techiques from beginner to intermediate.
