(More customer reviews)I have been looking for a comprehensive fingerpicking workbook of sorts for many years, and from time to time I'll jump for a product hoping that it will fit the bill.The problem with most of these workbooks is that they are far too narrow in scope, meaning they only cover a few styles and often only one.Also, they are tune heavy and not skill heavy.While these tunes may contain some important skills, they are not true exercises in the sense that the writer has taken a wide range of fingerpicking concepts and created exercises to help the student perfect those skills.Exercises should also be adaptable, so that they suit increasing skill levels.

This book suffers from the same problems.Even if you're looking for a tune book, this is a short and stylistically narrow one.For someone with 1 or 2 years experience fingerpicking, all the tunes are incredibly easy to master.The tunes are only written in tab, and while tab is helpful, any good guitar book should include both tab and standard notation.There are no meaningful exercises in this book, so your prospects for long term improvement are pretty small.
