(More customer reviews)I bought this and have gone through a little over half of the "tunes" to date. It is a good book and CD. It's more like a book of etudes than a book of complete songs to learn - which I like. Not the same old pentatonic riffs that you usually get.It has tab, although I personally don't use the tab and read notation while using Jimmy Bruno's 5 shapes as positions. You could also use classical positions as well. Scales, arps, and other cool melodic licks are all encompassed within these. Lots of applicability to improvisation - if you take the time to transpose and noodle these short etudes.
