(More customer reviews)I am just learning how to play the acoustic guitar for the purpose of leading my family in worship.I was looking for a book with traditional hymns that contained the melody as well as the lyrics ahd chords.I also wanted something that had strum patterns for songs, as I was struggling in understanding how to strum.Since I am teaching myself and am just starting I wanted a book that would help me to put everything together.

This book is exactly what I was looking for.It contains entire songs with the notes (so that if you are not already familiar with the hymn you can figure out the melody) and strum patterns for each song.The songs are arranged each on one page with the melody, chords and strum patterns for the verse and chorus followed by the words for the additional verses underneath.I like that these are not simplified versions of the hymns.The hymns range from having 3 chords to 7 or 8, which means I will be able to play some now and as I learn more, will be able to continue to use this book to play more of them.I highly recommend this book for anyone who is learning guitar and would like to play traditional hymns.
