I am the author of "Liszt: A Listener's Guide".Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not privy to the editorial process for this book, nor did AmadeusPress send meeither thepreliminary or final drafts to review and correct, which is the customary and usual way things are handled between a publisher and an author.Though its editor did a good job overall without my participation,Amadeus Press released the work with a few dozen errors, mostly typos and omissions, bukt a few errors of fact as well.As AP evidently is not planning on eithercorrecting, recalling, or republishing this book anytime soon, nor making available an errata list, I will personally see to it that buyers of the book are sent theerrata list. Purchasers of "Liszt: A Listener's Guide" who are interested in obtaining the errata list are welcome to get in touch with me and request it through Amadeus Press' PR department, which is listed at the AP website [...].

Product Description:
Composer, bon vivant, pianist, teacher, superstar showman, raconteur, writer, entrepreneur, ladies' man, philanthropist, and priest, Franz Liszt is widely viewed today not only as a great composer, but also as the greatest pianist of the 19th century. Yet his enormous body of piano music, by turns poetic, glittering, acrobatic, prophetic, profound, and haunting, failed to command the acclaim it deserved in his lifetime. In Liszt, John Bell Young takes a close look at this opulent music, illuminating its many facets and challenges from a pianist's engaged perspective. HIGHLIGHT * Never-before-released recordings of five extraordinary young pianists are included on an accompanying CD
