(More customer reviews)The book incorporates technique exercises, scales, lip slurs, etc. with classic selections from orchestra repertoire.As the book progresses, the selections become more lengthy, ending with several page-long etudes.It could stand to be updated for a modern audience (it obviously is still printed from the original plates, but has far fewer actual errors than Book 1 from this series).Recommended highly by a professional trumpeter and trumpet teacher; it engages students' interest and is truly progressive in its organization, and, in my opinion, stresses many of the important skills students need to master.
