Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We were watching the doo-wop telethon on PBS and I had the urge to pick up some music from that era, Shimy Shimy Ko-ko Bop in particular. Amazon had it and the price was good. I ordered it and, about two weeks later, had it in my hands.
The first thing that I noticed was that the printing was cheap. The last leaf in the book had about 1/8" of glue on the spine because the printer did not align it properly. Luckily, there was enough margin that none of the music was cut.
The next thing that I noticed was that there wasn't enough margin on the inside. That meant I had to open the book to the point where the spine started cracking. I expect that this will fall apart pretty quickly.
I went to the the Shimy song and started playing it. Except for one bar, it sounded like I remembered. I think that there was a typo in the bar because the melody was pretty constant with the F-F-F-F-C-Eb-Eb-F but one measure had the E natural - F-F-F-F-C-E-E-F. To my ears, it sounded wrong. I will have to give a listen to the Imperials to see if it is really correct.
Other than those three issues, I like the product. It will fall apart, but I can put the loose sheets in a folder. Heck, I may even be proactive and just cut the spine off.
