Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)this book is not for the faint-hearted. A lot of work is required from the guitarist in writing in fingering and sometimes deleting impossible hand positions in some pieces. Clearly the arrangements were not focussed on the guitarists ease of performance (but when is Piazzolla's music easy to perform). The parts for the violin do take some extra effort in terms of timing, and ensemble issues do arise when first putting some pieces together. However, if you do work on the pieces you can create some absolutely wonderful and enriching sounds that really do capture the essence of nuevo tango. This book is a must for the violin/guitar ensemble and is a welcome addition to the regular and often boring repertoire for this wonderful combination. Suitable for those gigs that require a bit of class above the regular Guiliani style pieces. Also very suitable in concert situations. Highly recommended!
