(More customer reviews)Loosely inspired by both Elvis Presley and Conway Twitty, BYE BYE BIRDIE is a musical that follows Albert Peterson, manager of famed rock and roll singer Conrad Birdie, just before Conrad has to leave the music business because of being drafted into the Army.The musical was a moderate success upon its initial run, but became ingrained into American cultural after a film version was made starring Ann Margaret and Dick Van Dyke.The show is a favorite for many high schools and community theatres.The show includes the songs "Ed Sullivan" and "Kids".This version of the musical arrangement includes pictures and bios from various productions as well as a synopsis.If you're a fan of the show, this is probably the arrangement you want to own.If you're just looking for the music, this edition is probably overkill and you would be better sticking with the straight complete vocal arrangement.
