(More customer reviews)Given that "Mack And Mabel" is arguably Herman's best score so far, it's nice to have it available for the general public, particularly in accesible keys (the original key for "Time Heals Everything" is ludicrous) and though I own the complete vocal score, it's chicken scratch. I can read it, but if you're working with a voice student who is trying to decipher lyrics and music for "wherever He Ain't" while learning to act at the same time well, there are just too many question marks in the head. For the low price of this item, it's well worth adding to your library. As for the reprise of "Roses", it's a simple enough thing to listen to Peter's sing it and then use the vocal selections to re-create the orchestration. A rest is a rest, after all. It's a good buy and it will make up for those of us who never bought "La Cage Aux Folles."
